error is library used for collecting system information. so there may
not be problem to your system login issue with "sysstat" utility

Try to boot your machine in single user mode and change root password.
then try to Login.

check in /etc/rc3.d ............line no13

1) boot through cd
2) type "linux rescue" and hit enter
3) then skip checking your cd
4) then select "Continue"
5) then u will get a shell. In here type "passwd" and change your password and then type "exit".
6) now boot through your hard disk. You should now be able to login with new password
